A Great Summer Wellness Escape
We stayed at Therme Geinberg during the summer and had a wonderful experience. If you enjoy relaxing spa days combined with a comfortable hotel stay, this is definitely a place worth considering.
The thermal spa offers a wide variety of pools, from classic thermal water to saltwater and freshwater pools, so there is always something different to enjoy. Even on a hot day in June, the resort was surprisingly quiet. We often had entire saunas to ourselves, making the experience especially peaceful and relaxing.
The sauna area was the highlight of our visit. The outdoor section is beautifully designed with plenty of space to relax between sauna sessions. Spending time outside in the sunshine before cooling off again was one of my favourite parts of the day.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. While the rooms are nice and well maintained, they are not exceptionally luxurious. However, the cleanliness throughout the entire resort really stood out. Every area, from the hotel to the spa and sauna facilities, was spotless.
Another highlight was the food. The hotel restaurant exceeded our expectations with an excellent selection of high-quality dishes. The meals were easily one of the best parts of our stay.
There were a few things that could be improved. Compared to other wellness resorts, there were relatively few scheduled sauna infusions, which was a little disappointing. We also found the indoor sauna area less attractive than those of some competing spas. Finally, the distance between the main sauna world and the exclusive hotel SPAplus area felt unnecessarily long, making it less convenient to switch between the two.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return, especially during the quieter summer months. If you appreciate a clean resort, excellent food, a beautiful outdoor sauna area, and a relaxing atmosphere without large crowds, Therme Geinberg is an excellent choice.
